Spin Journal ("the App") is published by Slate 360 LLC. We built this app for hand spinners to track fiber stash, projects, and finished yarn.

You can use Spin Journal without an account

Spin Journal works fully offline with no account. In that mode, everything you enter — your fiber stash, projects, photos, and notes — is stored only on your device and is never sent anywhere.

Creating an account (optional)

If you choose to sign in, Spin Journal syncs your journal to the cloud so you can also use it here at spinjournal.app, and so your data is backed up if you get a new device. Signing in is entirely optional and can be turned off at any time by deleting your account.

When you have an account, we collect and store:

• Your email address, used to identify your account and for password reset.
• Your journal content — fiber stash entries, projects, progress logs, bobbins, and finished-yarn records you create.
• Photos you attach to your journal entries.
• Purchase status — whether you've unlocked Pro, linked to your account so Pro carries over to the web.

This data is linked to your account and stored using Supabase, our cloud database and storage provider, access-controlled so only your own account can reach it.

Photos

Without an account, photos stay on your device within the app sandbox. With an account, photos you attach sync to secure cloud storage so they're available here on spinjournal.app and backed up — private to your account, never public, never shared with other users.

Purchases

If you upgrade to Pro, payment is processed by Apple or Google. We do not receive your payment card details. We use RevenueCat to manage and verify the one-time purchase and link your Pro status to your account (if you have one) so it also unlocks this website. RevenueCat receives a device/purchase identifier and, if you're signed in, your account ID — it does not receive your journal content.

Data retention and deletion

If you have an account, you can permanently delete it and all associated cloud data (journal content, photos, and account details) at any time — from Settings within the app, or from your account settings here on the website. Deleting your account does not cancel or refund a Pro purchase — that one-time purchase remains on your Apple or Google account and can be restored if you create a new account.

Data stored only on your device (offline mode) is deleted when you delete the app.

Who can see your data

Only you. We don't sell, rent, or share your personal information or journal content with third parties for their own purposes. We don't use advertising or cross-app tracking. The only outside services involved are Supabase (cloud storage/database) and RevenueCat (purchase verification), both acting solely on our behalf to run the app.

Analytics

We do not use third-party advertising trackers. We may use basic, privacy-respecting service logs (e.g., error/crash diagnostics) to keep the app reliable.

Children's privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13.

Your rights

You can access, export, or delete your data at any time from within the app or website. If you have questions about your data, contact us below.

Changes

We may update this policy as the App evolves. Material changes will be reflected in the App and on this website.
