Restore purchases
Already bought Pro on another device, or reinstalled the app? Open Settings → Restore purchases inside Spin Journal and sign in with the same Apple ID or Google account you originally purchased with. Your Pro unlock will restore instantly — no new payment.
Delete your account and data
If you created a Spin Journal account (sign-in is optional), you can permanently delete it and all associated cloud data — journal content, photos, and account details — at any time:
- In the app: Settings → Account & sync → Delete account.
- On the web: sign in at app.spinjournal.app/settings → Account → Delete account.
This is permanent and cannot be undone. Deleting your account does not cancel or refund a Pro purchase — that one-time purchase stays on your Apple or Google account and can be restored (see Restore purchases below) if you create a new account. If you only ever used Spin Journal offline with no account, there's no cloud data to delete — simply deleting the app removes everything.
Back up your data
Spin Journal stores everything locally on your device, so it's worth keeping a backup:
- Open Settings → Export backup (Pro feature).
- Share or save the exported file somewhere safe (Files app, cloud drive, email to yourself).
- To restore, open Settings → Restore from backup and pick that file.
Restoring a backup replaces everything currently in the app, so only do this on a fresh install or when you're sure you want to overwrite current data.
Frequently asked
Does it work offline?
Yes — completely. Spin Journal never requires an internet connection to use.
Is Pro a subscription?
No — it's a one-time purchase. Pay once and it's yours for good.
I upgraded but the app still shows Free plan
Try Restore purchases (above) first. If that doesn't resolve it, email support@spinjournal.app with your purchase receipt and device type.
Can I move my data to a new phone?
Yes — export a backup on your old device (Pro feature) and restore it on the new one.
